Taboga island

This monday the plan was to go to the island of Taboga, we left the house at 7 AM to get the ferry which left at 8:30. The ferry had two levels and the upper one had an open roof so we went sitting in the sun. This was a bad idea, 1 hour in the sun on a ship is not enjoyable. Lesson learned so on the way back we sat under the roof.
The first thing we did on the island was looking for things to do, we just started walking on a road with a sign which said something in spanish with a cross. So this was interesting, Anna told us about a pirate sementery on this island so we assumed it was that. It turned out to be an exhausted walk up towards a white cross. The view up there was amazing and some nice pictures were made. Afterwards we rented an umbrella for 5 bucks and went to a cafe to get some food. I swam a bit in the ocean and the water was nice and cooling. However the sea became really wild just before we left the island. Which I think is a bit ironic because it is called the quiet ocean, or the pacific ocean. In the afternoon we relaxed and had nice pasta as dinner. This day even though we used sun protection we still got a bit burned which was unlucky.
