The jungle

Today, we woke up later than usual, it was around 8 AM and we had breakfast one hour later. Then we had to choose what we were going to do this day, we saw the sight seeing tour busses website. You know the red double leveled busses you see in every capital. But we were a little late today for a whole city tour so we chose to go explore the rain forest!
We went to the Parque Natural Metropolitano, and we chose to combine all the walks. The booklet told us it was a 3 hour walk, but we did it in just 1,5 hours. So there must be something wrong with the tempo the Panamanians walk, or it must be the years of training with the yearly 4 day walk with school(avondvierdaagse). The start was a big climb to a panorama view of the whole area and we got a great look on the Panama City skyline. So after the walks Anna got us with the car and we went back to the house. On 5 PM Walter arrived to take the daughters out swimming, Walter is the ex-husband of Anna. I still remembered Walter from 5 years ago when I had been here and he was still as nice. So like the swimming person I am, I joined them. We swum for 2 hours and when we were finished we got treated at home with nice taco´s. I can say that this was one of the first days we really achieved something, but I am really looking forward to tomorrow when we are going to the Smithsonian to our first internship day.
